Days of 47 Rodeo

Our super cute friends Shannon & Chase and us wanted to go to a rodeo this summer, aka Shannon & I did so we bought tickets and told our husbands they were coming with,
so we went to
the Days of 47 Rodeo in Salt Lake! It was so fun!
The best part of the whole thing though... Was President Monson was there!
He was way more entertaining to watch, we all were just watching him the whole time! In a non stalker way of course. It was just funny to see how he reacted to things, and watch him eat his popcorn, and watch everyone slowly notice him, and watch the people in the arena ride up and shake his hand.
He is just the cutest.
He is so funny! The rodeo part ended and they had one last thing on the agenda- motorcycles. We watched as his daughter got up and told him it was time to leave, but he wouldn't have it. He folded his arms and sat there until the show was over! Haha!

Here's a little video of us observing him, haha
I wish I would have got a picture of him as he was leaving his seat. By the end of the rodeo, everyone sitting in the section by him had noticed him. So as he got up from his seat, he turned around to face them, put his arms up in the air like this as everyone cheered for him
and he walked down the stairs shaking all the security people's hands. What a funny guy!
Oh PS the rodeo was good too :)

(Side story about President Monson: I remember one time when I was probably about 15, my family was down having lunch at Little America. We noticed President Monson was sitting at a table with his wife and a few other people! My little siblings and I really wanted to go say hi, so my mom let me take them over. Him and his wife were so sweet to talk to us for a second. My little brother Jeremy was wearing an Old Navy shirt, and President Monson goes "You think YOU'RE Old Navy? I'M OLD Navy!" Haha what a funny little sweetheart. We laugh about that still and I feel lucky I got to meet him and share that memory with my fam!)

So thanks Chase & Shannon for the fun date night :) We just love ya!

Randy & Ann's Visit!

We were lucky enough to have Trent's dad Randy & his cute girlfriend Ann come stay with us! It was so fun to host them & have people to entertain! They were nice enough to put up with staying in our little apartment on the floor on air mattresses! We were at full capacity, haha. But we love love loved having them!
We've been trying to convince Randy to move down here by us, so we had fun showing them around Utah! And it was fun for me to see some of the places I've never even seen living here my whole life! Like Herriman?? Don't think I've ever been there! Haha.
Speaking of Herriman... The reason we went there was to 1) look at the area for a potential living place for Randy and 2) to go to the Herriman Cemetery!
As it turns out... Trent's great-great-great-great-grandpa settled Herriman! So we took Randy & Ann there to go see! Here are some pics!
This is a statue of him... Maybe...
Thomas Jefferson Butterfield is my great-great-great-great-grandfather-in-law! Haha!
 We found lots of Butterfields!
Did anyone know there are still like lots of huge fields out in the Herriman area? They are so pretty! It was so weird to be in like country town still in Salt Lake!
This was my favorite, so cool to read!
He was the first white man in the Herriman area!
 Bodyguards
We found lots of Crane's too!
Um yeah this was random, just had to post haha. Sad!
Then we were all so hungry we came home and had such a yummy steak dinner! Mmm!
Thanks for the fun visit Randy & Ann! Come again soon :)

< July 9 > Trent's Birthday!

Recognize this little fella?! It's Trent!! Haha I found this picture up at his mom's house in Wyoming and thought it was just the cutest thing ever, isn't he the most adorable little one?!?

I hope our boys look like this!

My handsome hubby turned 25 this last month! It was fun to celebrate with him - we celebrated the whole weekend!

We had a fun little shopping spree at Bed Bath & Beyond to get the things we still needed, thanks to all you that gave us gift cards :) Then we went to Outback for his birthday dinner, thanks Bo & Kayla! We have been having fun trying to use our wedding gift cards! We hadn't been there for way too long and forgot how yummy it was, MMMMM!!! Best steak of our lives!

For his birthday present, I gave him a gift card to do the surfing simulator at the new Provo Beach Resort!

So we gathered some family & friends and ended up having a little birthday party, haha. Who said you can't have birthday parties still!? Anyways, it was so fun because Trent's Dad Randy & Ann came into town, so they were there, my mom came down & brought my brothers, and then my cousin Nate came down, and Nick of course!

Randy & Ann, my mom, and I were there to watch and we decided we would have paid just to be able to watch! It was SO funny. We were laughing so hard! It was just funny at first because they didn't have the hang of it, so they would fall and then the water would just sweep them out the back!

This is Riley doing a faceplant, it makes me laugh every time so I just had to put it up.
Haha I could watch those videos all day! (FYI: The material under the water was foam, so when they fell it didn't hurt that bad. So it's okay for me to think these are way funny :) haha)

Trent breaking out the 360's!

Such a fun day! They had some good falls but had so much fun, and we had some good laughs! Yay!

Happy birthday babe!

I just think the world of Trent! He is the greatest husband I could ever ask for. We have so much fun being together every day. Love you sweetheart!!! xoxoxo
