Lately

Gosh I used to wonder why people don't update their blog more often, now I understand!
Our life is so dang busy. The last two weeks, I have had dishes pile up in our sink and laundry pile up on our bed all week long, because I honestly did not have an extra few minutes to do them. I was about to post a picture to prove it, but that is embarrassing. I'll post a picture of our nice clean apartment thanks to my great husband later :) Life is crazy. But it's good for me to keep busy.
So here's an update of us lately.
My cousin Tyler got home from his mission in Brazil. We've actually seen him a lot, so that's been fun! Him and Trent are now on an intramural flag football team. I just wanted to put this pic up cause I think their family is so dang cute :)  Tyler is single by the way, if you know any super cute awesome girls, I would be happy to interview them :)
Speaking of this cute fam, one of my favorite people in the world, my cousin Nate, left on his mission. He is going to Peru! We are so excited for him, but will miss him! Trent and I got to go to the temple with him for his first time. Love being in the temple with some of my favorite people! We've loved having all these good excuses to spend some time with my family!
Trent took this picture, can you believe it? Amazing!
Trent with the motivational speaker Kevin Hall
Love my baby
We had a sports filled weekend: Alta, RSL, Jimmer, and BYU!
The Alta/Bingham game at RiceEccles Stadium with my fam!

Me with my fav RSL player Tony Beltran on the right and other player Chris I think?
We went to their game after with Trent's mom and brother Britt and brother in law Will!
I love this picture. Me and cute Rachelle with our fam at the Jimmer game!

And thanks to my awesome grandparents & great grandma Gardner, we got to be at the BYU game in style. This is the way to go!
Other random events... We had a yard sale. It was actually way fun. We met lots of funny, interesting, some angry, some crazy... people.
They had a ferris wheel on campus one day, why? I'm not sure, but it was a fun break from class!
I ALMOST convinced Trent to let us get the CUTEST tiniest little puppy! One day... (and yes, i do want a puppy. For some reason my mom thinks it's so funny that I want one, but i've never had a dog! They are so cute! And i would train it to not bark, be nice, and be potty trained, of course! haha) Whenever we see people selling puppies in a parking lot or something I make Trent stop so i can hold them :)
And then it got cold .
I had been craving chili for a long time, so when it cooled off I finally got to make it! Mmm!
And while we're talking about the cold weather, I am noticing something is a little off about me. Usually I am like the cold weather Scrooge and HATE it. I wait as long as i can before I have to wear long sleeves, coats, and boots. But this year... i've kinda been excited about it! Don't get me wrong i still hate the cold. But i admit, this year i've kind of been embracing being able to drink warm apple cider and smell the yummy smells and wear warm clothes and wear cute boots and snuggle up with my hubby!
Anyways, i made this yummy Pizza Loaf. It's just homemade bread with ground beef, tomato sauce, olives, and cheese!
So my super cute friend Shannon works for a nonprofit organization called Mentor's International. They had their annual gala fundraiser dinner and Shannon was able to invite us. It was awesome! We loved it. Jenny Oaks Baker was there to perform her violin, and I have loved her since I was little! She is awesome. Her parents - Elder Dallin H. Oaks & his wife - were also there with Elder Hales representing the church. We were lucky enough to meet them after, they were so sweet. And just for the record, Elder Oaks just about crushed my hand. He has the handshake of ... a giant. :)
We love hanging out with these two :)
Thanks Shan! :)
My uncle Donny and aunt Summer (I almost feel weird calling them my aunt and uncle, cause everyone else's aunt & uncles are like old. And these two are not old. They are way young, way cute, in style and cool. Also I wrote a paper about how great parents they are. Just had to make note of that.) Well they went on a little night getaway and asked us to babysit their kids. These three little kids always make me laugh, they are so funny. First of all, Elle I hear is quite the entrepreneur. She set up the "Elle Adamson Snack Shack" and this was my lunch. It was the best lunch I had all week!
Remember in the good old days when videogames were NOT like this?! Haha
the Wii is fun on the big screen!
And this is little Jayne. I just love her. She loves smiling for the camera!
And Easton and Elle made a BYU/Halloween cake! Oh and the best part is, we broke my bad curse- Nobody got sick! Yay!
The other night I went to my cousins reception with my brother Riley, and Trent didn't come because he was doing tons of homework. Or so I thought! It was so cute. I came home and our apartment was spotless!
This is how I found him. Cleaning our much needy bathtub. What a cute lil husband i have.
Is this the post that just keeps on giving or what?! I promise I'm almost done...
Last Sunday my Grandma Hansen had a family Halloween party. (I just realized like every post has to do with some event with our family! We have the greatest family! We are so lucky. I just love all of them!) But anyways, my super cute grandma had the cutest Halloween food I just had to take pictures of them!
 Worm Water
Spider Eggs! (Deviled eggs that is)
And my favorite... Witch Dip! How cute is this!? It is all made of bread, with dip in it!
What are these you ask? Oh only the best grapes in the entire world. They are grown in their backyard and rank pretty high up there for one of my favorite treats of the year!
We also carved pumpkins. This is my little owl! Hehe :)
Okay that's all! That feels so good to be all caught up! Ahh... Thank goodness for this thing we call our day of rest :)

"MAJOR" Crisis

Well folks. I wanted to update my blog with something super fun and exciting,
but it turns out we just go to school.
And work.
And then school again.
And then work again.
It is great fun, don't let me be the first to tell ya.
But anyways, just thought I would update about our lives at the lovely place we call BYU that abruptly took over our lives.
Well first of all, when the semester started, we both had no idea what we wanted to do as far as school goes (beginning of the semester isn't the greatest time for that I know)
I was one very lost and confused little girl.
Let me tell you my situation.
PS This is WAY long. So i'm sorry. But it all comes to a grand finale point at the end i promise! haha
I have gone to BYU 4 semesters so far and still didn't know what to major in. I seriously went back and forth like every week. I really love family/marriage/home type classes because I learn the most in them and they apply the most to my life. And they just make me a better person I feel like. So I wanted to do Family Studies, but that really just never clicked with me. And to be honest, I just kind of felt dumb telling people i am studying Family Studies. Not the most impressive major ever, no offense to those that have chosen it. But then who cares what people think about what you major in!? And since I've already taken a lot of classes for that major, it would be my fastest way out. But also, like what do you do with that major? Be a good mom i guess.
But then I also love nutrition and would love to major in that, but then there is a TON of science that i would just hate every day of. And i would have to start over fresh, and it would take a long time to graduate. And by the time i finished, Trent and i plan to be okay financially where we could just do what we want and not have to work if we don't have to, and maybe by then we would want to whip out a couple kids..? Who knows. And then there are just a bunch of other majors that i could possibly see myself doing, but I'm not like DYING to study.
(I'm almost done don't worry)
So at the same time, I am a dental assistant, and I seriously just LOVE it. I leave work every day feeling like i just love my J.O.B. (as Trent calls it)! I just can't say enough good things about the dentist, hygenist, and other assistant I work with. Seriously... amazing, awesome, fun, happy, nice, laid back, positive, great people. So i work on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 9-5. But the great thing is I don't even mind going to work! I'm coming up on a year and a half working there. Anyways, that's my pitch about how i feel about my job. (And PS it is totally meant to be that i work there, because when I was moving down to Provo, this super cute lady in my home ward told me I should work for her brother down here, and she would ask if he's hiring yadda yadda, but it turned out he wasn't at the time or something so I kinda forgot about it. So I took around a bunch of resumes to all these different dentists, and the LAST office I stopped at, they weren't even there, but I left a resume with someone else, thinking it would never get seen cause i know how that goes! Anyways, I get a call, go interview with this office, and start working there! It wasn't til a few months later, I finally put together that Dr. Packer is that girls brother!!! Crazy!)
Anyways... back to my story...
SO YOU SEE MY DILEMMA!
I didn't know what the heck to do with my life!
One day after the semester had started and we were signed up for who knows what classes, both Trent & I were kinda in the same boat (My version of his version is this: He didn't know what to major in either because he already has expectations of what he wants to do with his life, regardless of school, but still wants to learn and get a degree, so he didn't know if he should work really hard in school to apply to the business program, or do advertising, or what.) I was in the library at school during a break, looking at all the different majors online. I was literally in tears cause I was SO unbelievably sick of this deciding process and so sick of telling people I didn't know what I wanted to do.
Wow this story is WAY longer than i expected and has so many different aspects of it, haha.
So also, another little tidbit about me... This is gonna sound so weird, I know, but I have always been SO captivated by stories of missing women. Let me explain. Like when Elizabeth Smart got kidnapped, I have seriously never been the same (probably like every other teenage girl or worried mom). I hated not knowing what happened to her, or where she was, and I would always be into the news to hear any updates. No joke, and maybe I shouldn't admit this, but one time my mom & I went to find her. Another side WAY creepy story, (I'm getting to the point in all this, I promise! I am totally surprised if you all have made it this far in my story!! haha!) It was at the point of the whole story when they thought that random Edmunds guy had kidnapped her, because they had seen his green 4-door Saturn sedan randomly parked by their house all the time, so they were telling everyone to watch out for this car. So for some reason, my mom thought we should go look at the dairy in Draper for that car. It was this random, not well known dairy, that was down a dirt road. I will never forget the way my heart dropped when we turned the corner and there was a green Saturn sedan. Oh my gosh. Such a scary moment! But it turned out it was a 2-door Saturn. Or else we would have had the case cracked!! Anyways, I will never forget the day she was found, running like mad to the church to tell my mom, totally out of breath, that Elizabeth Smart was found alive! And even in the last year when all the trials were going down, I totally caught myself reading all the court transcripts and everything. I'm not sure why, and I know that sounds so weird, and it totally freaks me out reading about it all, but at the same time I am so interested in knowing all the details and updates and everything.
And then Susan Powell comes along.
She has been missing since December of 2009, also from Salt Lake. And Trent will tell you how weird I am. I am always checking KSL to see if there are any updates, and I think about it all the time! I try not to, but the same thing, I just hate not knowing where she is or what happened to her! I hate it hate it. It makes me want to like be an investigator so i can figure it out, dang it! And then since I think about it all the time, I've had a few dreams about it! Ah! So weird. So for some reason, this thing about missing people just like really gets to me.
SOOOO... Continuing on 8 hours later haha...
i'm in the library stressed out about what to do, with all this going through my brain. I said a prayer to just let me please figure this out so i can move on and not be so stressed about it anymore! A few minutes later, my mom calls me, so I walk out of the computer lab so I can talk to her. And I'm not kidding, Elizabeth Smart walks past me!! She goes to BYU, and ya know that feeling when you see someone you recognize but you try to hurry and figure out how you know them or what their name is? Well that was going through my head, I was seriously about to say hi thinking she was like a friend, and I was also on the phone in midsentence to my mom, so she walked past and I didn't say anything. It took me a second after she walked by to realize that was Elizabeth Smart. Anyways, so I felt like that was kind of an answer to my prayer, because what are the odds I would see her - I've never seen her on campus ever! - that maybe I should work for a police department and be an investigator or something?! Ah! Then i went back to my computer, kept looking at the majors, and as I was looking down the list, I noticed the Family Studies: Human Development Emphasis one, and for some reason had skipped over it in the past. So i clicked on it, and realized that i was further in that major than i was in the other Family studies one! I already had 17 credits done, and only 12 more classes to take! I figured if I did that one, I would hopefully have 3 more semesters after this one, it would be my fastest way out, and still the classes i like, but a little bit better sounding than Home & Family I felt like haha, and if i wanted to later in life, maybe i could do something with it to help find missing people or something, knowing how humans think and develop & such!
So i still haven't declared it officially, but i think in writing this I've talked myself into it. Yep i think i have. (Can you tell how indecisive i am?! Geez)
As for Trent, the same day this all happened he talked with an advisor at the business school, and decided he wants to go for the business program to do Entrepreneurship, figured out what classes he needs to take to be able to apply, and figured out what classes he would take every semester until he's done! Which is probably about 4 more semesters.
So we woke up so stressed and confused, and I'm proud to say we both went to bed that night feeling so much better, like we had direction and knew what we wanted to do! YAY!
Well my point in doing this post was to tell about the classes we are both taking, and i obviously got very very very side tracked.
So here is the short version:
I have been pushing off some of my generals I have been needing to take, so I kind of decided this semester I'm just going to get some of them over with. So I am taking Geography, Marriage & Family (one class for my major), Biology, Art History w/ Trent, and New Testament. And it turns out, so far it's actually not too bad! Definitely better than what i was expecting. I'm just excited to see a green "Complete" next to their names :) And as for Trent, he is taking Econ (HARD!), Stats, Book of Mormon, Art History w/ me, and Geology. I would talk more about them but i feel like i have reached
your maximum attention span limit.
WOW ...
That was all probably WAY too much information. But like I always tell myself, this is like my journal, for me. So it was good to get it all written down :) So if you made it this far, congrats! haha! Tell me what you think about my "major crisis" (haha get it!?)

SUPER Random Moments of July

This is going to be the most random post, I can already tell.

Here are some random moments from July I would like to document.

First, I superglued my finger to this random gem thing I was trying to fix...
Before...
After... (about half an hour later! That hurt! Haha)
While Trent was at work, I decorated his car (well my car, but he had taken my car to work that day, so I guess I decorated my own car) on the 2 year anniversary of our first date! Wahoo!
We saw a 3 wheeled car...
We stopped by the Ferrari dealership to check on Trent's dream car :)
I found my dream home! mmmmm.... Gotta have it. (Sorry if this is your house)
We watched the world cup with our projector on the wall
I made brownies, and they came out looking like this... what the?!
We played lots of our new favorite game together, Quiddler!
(I can tell this month was before our days of BYU... We actually had fun!)
and finally...
I came home one day from work and it was POURING! And it was like RIGHT above us, because I heard this big BANG and our house shook! The lightning had to have hit within a few feet of us, if not our apartment! And then Trent came home and we were watching it out the window, and this happened! It makes me laugh, but a little embarrassing...
Well anyways! Those were our undocumented, now documented, random moments of July ;)

TrIp To WyOmInG! Yellowstone, Casper, Cheyenne & Everywhere In Between :)

Okay I promise I'm not a blog addict, I'm just trying to catch up on all our fun adventures over the summer before the craziness of the semester settles in... ugh! ANYWAYS....
We had SO much fun on our trip to Wyoming!
We were planning on leaving on Friday the 21st, but Wednesday at like 4 or 5pm Trent's like "We could leave today..." So we packed up in about 10 minutes and we were outta here! Haha
By the time we made all our stops in Salt Lake, we left around 8pm! So we kept driving until we couldn't keep our eyes open, and ended up in Rexburg at like 1am. We found a random dark church parking lot, and slept in our car (not the most comfortable bed ever) until I wake up to Trent starting the car at like 5 in the morning!! I was like "What are you doing??" Trent: "It's light! Let's go!" So we had an early start and were off to Yellowstone!! It was SUCH a pretty drive! We saw the sun rise and it was all cool and crisp, mmm...
We stopped at the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center right as they were opening and feeding their bears & wolves.
When we were watching the wolves walk around in this pond, they were all looking around in the water for something...
For this!! We watched him catch a fish with his mouth in the middle of the water! It was crazy. Then we watched him take it away from all his friends, watch it for a while, bury it, then eventually eat it (crunches and all...)
We had a lot of fun at this place!
So we continued on to Yellowstone!
Being in the park not even 10 minutes... We saw...
This lil fella
ALL these cars were pulled over and he was there right across the river from OUR car! He came right down by the river's edge and was tearing apart this stump
Okay people, did you know there is like Hawaii worthy scenery in Yellowstone? Who woulda thought! I was amazed, this was SO pretty.
mmm have to admit, i love this pic. Should i send it to the postcard company? haha
Keep in mind this whole time it was like a little bit chilly, and windy as you are noticing, but still very sunny...
This should have been a large red flag in my head but no...
(Meaning I was getting sun but didn't know it)
 Trent took this lovely panoramic
We continued onward to Old Faithful. It wasn't as exciting as the other places we went, I thought it was actually kind of boring. Sorry Ol' Faithful.
It was kinda cool though, when we were there, the one behind Old Faithful went off at the same time, and then the one behind that one went off! The workers said it was pretty rare!
We Loved Yellowstone! We saw SO many animals & so many different things all in one big Yellowstone sweep! Little did I know, I had total racoon face (Sunglasses + Sun)
We were going to camp in Yellowstone, but couldn't find a good spot. And they were all full and you had to register and whatnot, so we just kept driving!
And driving....
And driving...
And driving........
We saw TONS of deer along the way. This little man has an EYE for seeing deer. Even when he was pointing one out to me I still couldn't find it! Haha. We had fun honking at them and watching all of them in the middle of nowhere.
These guys weren't too hard to see though.
Good shot eh?
Not to be explicit or anything but this was my sunburn I had no idea I was getting. You should have seen my nose, it was even worse. We're talking blistering & swelling. Trent's family can vouch for that one. Yikes.
We finally made it to Casper! That was the longest day of my life! But so fun to do the whole Yellowstone experience and drive to see Trent's fam! I had never been to Casper so it was so fun. The reason we went is because it was Trent's Dad's birthday so Ann arranged for us all to come into town and surprise him!
We floated the river with T & Will. The boys had to about save our lives, but we made it! Haha.
This picture makes me laugh so hard every time I look at it. Trent reminds me of the little kid on cheaper by the dozen!
haha!
Poor Hallie. She is definitely a little sister. She eggs Trent on all the time though, so I guess it's okay. This is Trent teaching her how to fight off all the boys :)
We all drove to Cheyenne for Frontier Days! It was SO fun. It is such a production, it's crazy. It is like the biggest thing that ever happened to Wyoming, haha. It was huge though!
 The largest outdoor rodeo! Ca-ra-zay!
Ken bought us all these lovely funnel cake things.
No we did not plan to match. We had SO much fun at the rodeo! It was a good show! We were lovin it :) Thanks Lauri Jo!
 haha
Cute lil Tiarra & Will . We have fun with them :)
T & I had to talk our way out of jail unfortunately. Fortunately it wasn't hard :)
This lovely Indian dancer was like a 9th degree black belt. Don't mess...
Lauri Jo bought us all tickets to see Jason Aldean later after the rodeo! So funny story, we saw this truck in a roped off area, so we asked this old guy if he would let us through to take a picture by it, and he said "Okay but only the girls." Haha who does that?! So us girls went and had him take our picture. And of course he had to cut off his name. Whatever.
You may think this next pic is a posed picture, but no! After he took our picture, he got on his 4 wheeler and I was like "Do you want your picture with Jason Aldean?!" He said no and then took a drink, right as I snapped a pic, haha. I thought it was funny!
I have never been bumped so many times in my life by so many totally random drunk people in my whole life. There. Were. So. Many. People. It was unbelievable. We got beer spilled (or thrown) at us and all. Every person had like 2 square inches of space. So we all got nice and cuddly :)
Even though we were totally crowded and trampled, this was one of my favorite parts of our trip. It was SO fun to hang out with Trent & his siblings & their special somebody's. His mom & Ken and his dad & Ann were even there too! It was just fun to be with just us 8 & be at a concert together! And we had to clump together, literally, way tightly, so people couldn't come between us. Talk about bonding time, haha just kidding.
 I love this pic!
Is this Jason Aldean? I'm really not sure, haha. I seriously only saw him for like a good 10 seconds cause there were so many darn tall people in front of me!
Note to Self: NEVER EVER EVER EVER bring a purse to a concert EVER again. I didn't mean to because I didn't know the concert was right after the rodeo, but seriously. Worst mistake of my life.
I didn't mean for this to be the longest blog post of the century, but it was just so eventful! So after the concert, it was beyond insane. Our feet hurt SO bad from standing and walking around all day and night, and we were beyond thirsty. Tiarra and I considered drinking from the gutter. There were SO many people trying to get on buses to go to the park ride, which was 1.8 miles away mind you, so the line was like at LEAST an hour and a half long. Tiarra & Will and Trent & I decided we wouldn't have it, so we decided to walk back to the car. Did we know where we were going? Not really. So we ended up walking through fields, up and down hills, running on a freeway for a second, and crossing lots of streets. It was so crazy but so funny. We were so tired! By the time we got to the car, we STILL beat the other guys that waited for the bus. And it was like 1am.
We got home at 4am :) another fun day!
Just thought I would add cute lil Rome. He is a doll, and he LOVES Trent. This is the face he always does to him right before he laughs & smiles. So dang cute.
We went to a park the next day & had a family BBQ. Once again, it was just so fun to have all of us in one place all together for once! The boys love frisbee.
And Trent's new styrofoam airplane haha.
Randy cookin!
Another float down the river! The girls went down on this huge tube! Wish I coulda taken the camera with us! I sound like a broken record, but it really was so fun.
Such a fun trip being with Trent's fam! We loved it! Thanks for the good times! :)
